Surgeries

Oral and maxillofacial surgery specializes in treating many diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. It is an internationally recognized surgical specialty.

Surgical extraction of mandibular third molar: a rational and safe technique. The extraction of the mandibular third molar is the most frequent intervention in oral surgery and it is sometimes associated with less or more severe complications.

Third molar or as it is commonly called wisdom teeth erupts between the age of 18 to 25 years. Mostly there is lack of space for it to erupt which leads to its improper positioning within the jaw.

Many a times it needs to be removed so as to prevent future problem like check biting or development of cyst.

Crown lengthening procedure

This treatment can lengthen the appearance of your teeth by reshaping your gums. This Technique involves reshaping the tissue and/or underlying bones to create the appearance of longer or symmetrical teeth, thereby making the smile more aesthetically pleasing. This Technique is typically done to reduce excessively gummy smiles or to balance out an asymmetrical gum line.

It is also done to increase the length of the teeth so as to receive a crown.

Facial Fracture Management

In general, fractures may be treated by performing a closed reduction (resetting the broken bone or bones without surgery) or an open reduction (surgery that requires an incision to reposition the fractured bones). For a complex fracture with multiple broken bones, reconstructive surgery is required.

In cases of periodontal disease, surgery may be necessary to bring the gums back to optimal health. There are various types of surgery, which range from reducing excess gum tissue to covering areas of recession.

These surgeries make it easier for the patient to keep the area clean, prevent further disease, and often improve the aesthetics of a patient’s smile. We work with you to diagnose the problem, educate you on which factors are contributing to the disease, and formulate a treatment plan that will best address your gum-related issues
